1st Dec - Bridge stopped one week earlier than normal to allow time for the builders to do as much work as possible before Xmas.
4th Dec - Renovations started in earnest.
11th Dec - The kitchen has been stripped of all fittings and start made to the drainage. The kitchen walls from the main room and back room as well as the wall between these 2 rooms have been removed. The window at the front of the building has been removed and the new outside wall enclosed. The old airconditioning units (inside and out) have been removed and some of the new system has been installed. The rest of the new system is on site, ready to go in.
News received today we have been successful in gaining more funding. Our big thanks to the Pub Charities for their generuos donation.
Official opening for our new rooms and the start of the Jubilee year is planned for Feb 10th (at our first tournament). There wil be a special guest, performing the honours !
17th Dec - Kitchen structure completed and partly gibbed. Framing for bifold doors installed. Aircon units installed. Framing for office completed. The kitchen is due to be installed Tuesday 19th ! Scroll down to see more photos
21 Dec - Kitchen mostly installed. Aircon ducting for the back room installed. Framing to lower ceiling in all rooms about 50% completed. Office has insulation and electrical wiring completed and partly lined. Progress has been rapid. Many thanks to everyone involved
20 Jan - Working Bee to clean up most of the rubbish and vacuum the floor. The airconditioning is completed, ceiling lights installed and a good portion of the batts and ceiling panels are in. The majority of the painting has also been done. Next week the lino in the kitchen and toilets will be done and carpet repaired/rejoined. It is expected that all jobs will be completed by the end of the week (26th Jan)
22 Jan - On Monday 5th Feb, our clubrooms will be open 6:30 pm for members to view the renovations, before the start of play. Tea and coffee will be available from our new kitchen and the bar will be open
For all other sessions that week, the clubrooms will be open 1 hour before the start of play, so members can view the changes.
The official opening of the rooms
will be on the 10th February,
at our first tournament of the year.
His Worship the Mayor, Stuart Crosby will officiate the opening at approximately 9:45 am.
All members are welcome to attend.

Working bee is planned 3rd Feb to clean up the last of the rubbish and set up the room for play to start 5th Feb
